Terms of Service

You are granted the right to use the Free plan for both personal and commercial use. Developer and Business plan pricing is published for comparison; paid subscriptions are currently unavailable. When offered, paid plans are billed monthly or yearly according to the selected billing cycle.

While we have tried pretty hard to make sure everything works, nevertheless, this website and the SEOtoolsAPI service are provided “as is” without any guarantees of any kind with the exception that we guarantee we have not knowingly added any malware or other such hidden malicious functionality to this service.

You can use this website and the SEOtoolsAPI service but you do so entirely at your own risk. If you disagree with any of these terms, if you do not understand something described here or if you are having a bad day, please do not use this website or the service.

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia and disputes will be resolved in the courts of Estonia.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy by not spying on you.

When you create or use an account, we store your email address, account status, API key labels and cryptographic key digests, sign-in history, security events and recorded API usage. We use these records to provide account access, manage keys and show usage statistics. We do not store passwords or plaintext API keys in the database. Domain lookups process the queried domain name to return SEO data. We do not send your personal API key or account email with these lookups. If you contact us or subscribe to our newsletter, we use the information for the purposes described here.

We record outbound API call metadata, including the provider, operation, request time, HTTP status, duration, associated account or analysis identifiers, credit/token/email usage and estimated provider costs. Usage may be provider-reported or estimated from documented charging rules. Missing usage remains unknown, and cost estimates retain their configured reference rates. Administrators can review provider totals and the accounts responsible for the most external API calls. These logs do not store provider credentials, request bodies, submitted keywords, page content or email message contents. Cached responses do not add outbound calls.

Domain registration data is limited to the registration month. We do not retain registration contact records.

Keyword and competitor features process submitted domains, public page URLs, keywords and captured public page excerpts. Keywords Everywhere supplies keyword metrics and ranking observations, VebAPI supplies search results, and DeepSeek assesses product relevance and competitor relationships from public content. These providers receive the inputs needed for those requests, including public page excerpts for AI assessments. Your SEOtoolsAPI account email and personal API key are not included in these provider requests. Analysis inputs, progress and results are stored with your account and are accessible through its active API keys. Public-source responses may be cached for reuse.

Your selected light or dark theme is saved in a first-party functional cookie named seotoolsapi-theme for up to 365 days. It contains only light or dark. An existing theme preference in localStorage is moved to this cookie once and removed from localStorage. Sign-in uses separate secure, HttpOnly session and form-security cookies. IP-derived HMAC identifiers are used to limit sign-in requests and prevent abuse. No third-party analytics scripts are included. Your browser already has enough people asking what it is up to.

The live demo uses your IP address and browser characteristics, including user agent, language, time zone, screen dimensions and color depth, to enforce its free-call limits. The application retains keyed hashes for these limits rather than the raw IP address or browser characteristics. The demo also uses a secure, HttpOnly session cookie named __Host-seotools-demo to protect form requests. Demo usage records include the endpoint, request time, result status and duration. The free demo allowance is separate from your account’s API allowance.

The “Remember me” option is unchecked by default. If you choose it, your sign-in cookie and server session last for up to 7 days from sign-in, unless you sign out or access is revoked sooner. Otherwise, the sign-in cookie lasts for your browser session, with a server-side limit of 24 hours. The cookie contains a random session token. It does not contain your email address or a password.

This website does not use any kind of tracking cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels or any other such adtech spyware.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will send you an email when we release new versions of SEOtoolsAPI or if we release other similar products that we think you might find interesting. Each newsletter email will contain an unsubscribe link.

We use Resend to send sign-in emails. Resend receives the recipient email address and sign-in message, including its short-lived link. We also share your address with a newsletter sending service if you subscribe, or when required by law.

In case of a sale of the company or the brand, your data will be transferred to the new owner.

We do not share any of your data with any third parties for advertisement purposes.

We reserve the right to use anonymized data for research and development purposes. For example, we might use a website visitor heatmap analysis tool to analyze the website visitor behavior in order to improve the website and the products and services we offer.

We reserve the right to contact you to ask for feedback on the service and the website.

We do not use any user data to train any AI models or AI systems, nor do we share such data with any third parties for AI model or AI system training purposes.

Our website servers are located in the EU. Email delivery is handled by Resend under its data processing terms; this processing can involve transfers outside the EU.

Refund Policy

SEOtoolsAPI includes a Free plan. If you have bought a paid SEOtoolsAPI subscription, you are covered by our 30 day refund policy.

If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason whatsoever, you can get a full refund of your SEOtoolsAPI subscription purchase. The refund covers the price of the subscription, it does not cover any additional fees imposed by any third parties such as your bank or your credit card company.

To get a refund, please create a support ticket here.

Please do not use your credit card’s “refund protection” or any other such thing to get a refund. It will trigger a chargeback and cost us a lot of money. Just contact us and we will refund you.

Paid SEOtoolsAPI plans are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly according to the selected billing cycle.
